Our MN DJs prefer to play what the audience wants, unless you do not want us to. We do not have a set play list that we follow. We take requests and try to play them at the best and appropriate times. We do as much as we can to keep the party going. You may even want to request certain songs NOT be played. It’s your event and we are here to accommodate in any way we can. We allow our clients the ability to plan their entire event ahead of time if they choose, including music selections and special activities. We also help them with planning and ideas along the way and can choose or help choose great music for their special dances. All of our MN DJ’s are experienced, friendly and energetic. Reviews: I am writing to recommend Luke Brown as a DJ for any event. Luke recently DJ’ed our middle school’s fall dance. The students were very happy with the music and variety he selected. I also noticed he did a good job of keeping a good flow of the song selection and keeping the students moving on the dance floor. As the school is diverse in languages and cultures, he played music that appealed to each group, but kept them all happy. I also noticed he had a professional manner in his work: he verified details, considered the appropriateness of songs’ language, was prompt, had all necessary equipment and there were no problems to iron out. He did a good job of interacting with the students during the music, and did not just play the song and sit back and wait until the next one, but made sure the levels and such were correct. Although I don’t know much about playing music, I do know what makes for a good party, and our students did enjoy themselves greatly! Our program recently had Luke Brown as a DJ. He was wonderful! He corresponded promptly prior to the event working out all the details so there were no surprises. On the night of the event Luke was prompt, set up quickly, and was prepared for all types of music and had Wi-Fi set up should he not have a specific request in his title list. He played great music that got the crowd dancing and accepted requests. We would recommend him and will use him again. Thanks Luke. We would like to thank Luke Brown for the amazing job he’s done. We celebrated our birthday on Saturday October 20th, 2012. Luke was early to prepare himself for the party. Luke really goes above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time! This is one of the biggest priorities I have when consulting with a client. It’s your special day, and I’ve been given the liberty to provide entertainment for it. So I will definitely put forth all of my effort to satisfy every need and envision you have for the event. As far as the mood for the event goes, I am very knowledgeable of many different types of crowds and genres. I’ve been in a position where there’s Country, Top40, Classic Rock, Electronic Dance music, and Alternative Rock fans all under the same roof. Needless to say, some didn’t part take on opposing genres, yet I blended the music to provide for all of the guests needs. I am always keeping up to date with the hottest new tracks coming out, and also equipment for Dj’ing. I am also very knowledgeable of live sound and DJ gear, In the past there have been many times where I’ve had to improvise with last minute emergencies, so I’ve developed a system to always have a back-up. I also always bring extra gear to each event just in case something catastrophic happens. I started DJ’ing in my sophomore year of high school, and I’ve been loving it ever since. Throughout my journey as a DJ I’ve encountered some of the best times of my life! The feeling of awe with a packed dance floor and everyone’s happy faces makes my night. I have 15+ years of Stand-up comedy experience so I know how to read a crowd. I have an eclectic taste in music that goes from Johnny Cash to LMFAO. There will never be a dull moment, may it be interactive games or teaching someone a new dance (which I just made up). When I’m not DJ'ing I work with Developmentally Disabled Adults and the Elderly as a caregiver. My first rule as a DJ is this is YOUR night, I’m just there to make sure you have fun and don’t have to worry about your guests having a good time. At a past show I had a little girl who kept requesting a group that was not very danceable. I waited until the time was right and made a special announcement that these next two songs were for her, as I started playing them her face lit up. I then asked her if I could share a dance with her, the look on her face made it all worthwhile. I do not make the common DJ mistake of thinking this is my time to shine and only play music that I want. THIS is your night, your event your time to have a great time. I was worried about if they'd be able to hear speeches, but I heard from guests out there that they could hear perfectly. Dave did a great job. We wanted to send a HUGE THANK YOU to MN Pro DJ, and owner Dave Ley who was our wedding reception DJ! The first thing that jumped out to us about Dave was the fact that his ultimate goal truly is customer satisfaction, and he will do whatever it takes to accommodate you on your special day. He was extremely friendly, professional. Also, he was very easy to reach at any hour and exceedingly supportive throughout the entire planning process, which ultimately paid off with an unforgettable reception dance that people are still complimenting us on! Dave gave his suggestive expertise in regards to his DJ'ing knowledge and craft along the way when we requested, but most importantly listened to us in regards to our vision of the big day and he delivered in a way that far surpassed our expectations! He had the dance floor filled throughout the night, with a mastered approach that kept everyone excited to move to the rhythm, and musical selection knowledge that kept the energy level on the dance floor high at all times. We would absolutely recommend MN Pro DJ and Dave Ley to anyone looking for an UNFORGETTABLE wedding night! April 4, 1983 - May 15th, 2012 Mike passed away in May of 2012. Mike was a free spirit with a very outgoing personality. Mike was an amazing DJ, Recording Artist, Lyricist and Rapper. He also was a great father and loved his girlfriend and family very much. He strived to be a great dad and provider! His memory will live on and he will be missed greatly!
